Having completed two CPD courses with distinction, in Animal Psychology and Canine Communication, Claire is currently continuing her studies to degree level.  Reading Applied Canine Behaviour and Training part-time at Bishop Burton College, (in association with Hull University).  In August 2019, Claire was granted membership as an Assistant Trainer with the Guild of Dog Trainers UK,  student membership of the Association of Pet Behaviour Councillors and is working towards IMDT membership.

With a life-long passion for animal care and welfare, Claire’s previous professional experience includes boarding kennels, pet sitting, and Stokenchurch Dog Rescue.  Claire has developed invaluable knowledge and experience with a wide range of breeds, and dogs who often had specific behavioural and veterinary requirements, and has certificates in canine first aid, micro-chipping, plus customer service.

Ziggy is a lovable 7 year old Chihuahua with a big personality, and a former Stokenchurch Dog Rescue resident. He enjoys walks in the woods, playing with his favourite "sheepy" toy and doing zoomies round the garden.


Assistant Manager

Wendy  has 16 years professional experience in Animal Care.   Highly trained in administering medication, socialisation and basic grooming for both cats and dogs and Canine First Aid.

Dedicated to her job, Wendy has a lovely manner with our guests, and is a calming influence on pets that may require that little extra care and attention.

Pet Carer

Kerry has experience as a Veterinary Kennel Assistant and completed the City & Guilds Level 2 Animal Care diploma at St Tiggywinkles wildlife hospital. Kerry is trained in Dog First Aid and previously volunteered at the Bucks Goat Centre and with Elephants in Thailand. Kerry is great with our smaller furry guests and has several rabbits of her own.


Pet Carer

Jess has achieved City & Guilds Level 2 in Animal Care and Level 3 in Animal Management and her previous experience includes training at a wildlife hospital.  Jess is trained in Canine First Aid and is knowledgeable in dog behaviour and basic training.


Pet Carer

Lydia is studying a 5 year Veterinary Science Degree at University and assists us during her time off at Christmas and in the Summer break.  Lydia is very knowledgeable and confident around animals and we look forward to her giving us excellent veterinary advice when she qualifies.

Supervisor/ Pet Carer

Ruby has had a life-long interest in caring for animals and has always had her own pets, including dogs, and has had previous experience in pet sitting.  Ruby is reading BA Philosophy at Exeter University and is aiming to further her studies.  Ruby assists us during our busy peak times as a Supervisor and is especially talented at caring for our cat guests, who instinctively seem to enjoy her presence and attention.
